Carl-Anton Mattsson (AFU board member), born 1946 in Lit in the Swedish county of Jämtland, is also a board member of UFO-Sweden and part of the mobile team of people ready to help out by packing phenomena-related collections in Sweden and abroad for transport to AFU preservation.
Carl-Anton’s background is as manager for several co-operative grocery shops in Norrköping and Nyköping 1970-2002. He is now a pensioner.
Carl-Anton became a member of UFO-Sweden in 1975 and founded UFO-Sweden’s group in Nyköping in 1976. With a small team of local colleagues he has since been an active UFO field investigator for the national group. In 1980 he was one of the driving forces behind the creation of the new magazine UFO-Aktuellt, after a split-up in UFO-Sweden. He was responsible for the 3.000+ membership success of that magazine in the early 1980s. This through his hunt for phenomena-interested prospective subscribers in membership and subscription lists from dozens of other Scandinavian groups & organizations.
Carl-Anton’s special interest is the techniques of ancient times and the impressive pyramids all over the world. He has travelled widely in 52 countries. In 1984 he was the co-author (with Henry Kjellson, of “Teknik i forntiden” (Techniques in antiquity) and in 1996 he published the well-illustrated “Forntidens pyramider” (Pyramids of the ancients) through the Partehnon publishing house that he took over from Edith Nicolaisen in 1986. At that time he also helped AFU to acquire the Parthenon business & correspondence archives, and the Parthenon reference library. Carl-Anton owns a picture library of more than 9.000 slides – mainly from his visits to pyramids in Egypt, Mexico, Guatemala and Peru.
Carl-Anton Mattsson publishes phenomena-related books through the Parthenon editorial company and works with AFU selling all surpluses of Swedish phenomena-books through the Parthenon web site.
