The AFU collection of serial publications (newsletters, magazines, journals) includes more than 73.000 individual issues belonging to more than 12.000 annual volumes.
For some titles the collection runs complete with all issues ever published. New issues are added to the collection every day of the year.
The scope of the collection is international: at present 57 different nations are represented.
The collection covers all kinds of “phenomena”, with UFOs as a prime subject but also including cryptozoology, forteana, psychic and paranormal phenomena, theosophy and the occult, religious cults, science fiction, borderland sciences, phenomena-skeptical journals and even mainstream science and defence journals.
The archive also includes thousands of digitised publications (whether digitised by AFU or downloaded by AFU from other sites). We aim to become an international registry of all serial publications in “phenomena” fields that have been digitized.
The collection is kept in a magazine storage in our D archive with compact type shelving financed by a grant from the Swedish National Archives in 2006.
